Meet the Leprechaun Pumpkin I designed at the Radisson Hotel

I was commissioned by the historic Radisson Lackawanna Station Hotel in Scranton to design a Halloween pumpkin. The theme requested was a leprechaun. The only rule was it cannot be carved and the deadline was pretty much—yesterday.

Why a leprechaun?

Irish traditions permeate the very fabric of Lackawanna County. You may have heard of the Scranton St. Patrick’s Parade, or “Parade Day,” as all of northeastern Pennsylvania calls it.

I had a few days to design it but, things have been hectic. I had no choice but to create it the day before, on Sunday—in one day. Given the time I had, I’m happy with the way it turned out.

I hope this jolly leprechaun brings a smile to your face.
Find my pumpkin, along with others, now on display to the right of the main lobby in the hallway in front of the elevators.

Special thanks to Brian Kenny and Mary for providing some of the materials.

31 days, 31 drawings: #Inktober2017

I promised myself I’d participate in this years Inktober—despite the incessant discord of life’s current sequence of notes.

According to Inktober.com, for those who don’t know, “Every October, artists all over the world take on the Inktober drawing challenge by doing one ink drawing a day the entire month.”

Inktober provides a prompt for artist but, I’ve instead been creating art with positive messages, most centering on the message of loving peace. Follow me on Twitter, Facebook, or Instagram to see them all.

Why Apple Rejected My Britney Spears Themed Animated Stickers

Want a ”Piece of Britney” on iMessage? Sorry, you can’t—at least for now.

Talk about my most recent, albeit rejected, animated sticker pack for iMessage has been circulating. In an effort for others to understand the issue, I’m publishing this post to clear things up and ask for your advice.  Read More …

Before completing my original “Piece of Britney” stickers, I did hours of research on two subjects: Right of Publicity laws involving celebrities and a way to contact Britney Spears or her management. In the end, it all led to unsubstantiated, outdated contact information and vague regulations.

So, I submitted the stickers, figuring Apple would lead me down the right path. Thankfully, they did, giving me this clear advise: “Please provide documentary evidence of rights to use this content in your app. Once Legal has reviewed your documentation and confirms its validity, we will proceed with the review of your app.”

Simple, right? Well, like I said, there is so much misinformation about who and how to contact Britney and her team.

I understand and agree with Apple’s decision to postpone the sticker pack until I have proper documentation—but I still want fans to enjoy it! Maybe you, the reader, can help me out.

If you want to see “Piece of Britney” on the app store, please help me get in touch with Miss Spears or her team to make this happen.

Thank you all for your support.
